Nicaragua - VALENTIN FLORES

Valentin is the minister of the El Viejo church in one of the poorest areas in northwest Nicaragua. He also works with the Las Brisas and Leon congregations which oversee agricultural and pig co-ops that have helped many families become self-sufficient. Valentin manages a student education program funded by Woodmont Hills that enables 50 children to attend school each year who would otherwise be unable to get a formal education. The El Viejo church has continued to grow during the two years of political unrest in Nicaragua.
