Welcome to the Marriage Ministry

There are a number of reasons why you may be visiting this page. You may be contemplating marriage and want to better prepare yourself for such a serious and lifelong commitment. You may be using this site as a resource to enrich your marriage, or for good information about marriage to discuss with others. You may be experiencing trouble in your marriage and are seeking encouragement, direction, instruction, or consolation. Whatever your motivation for choosing this page, you are welcome, and we sincerely hope that the information provided will be useful to you.

We recognize that both Christians and non-Christians, as well as those who attend a church and those who do not, desire to experience meaningful and fulfilling relationships with their spouses. With this in mind, we will attempt to use language and concepts to which anyone can relate, while acknowledging that the origins of our insights stem from both secular and biblical sources.

We are not, however, representing ourselves as marriage counselors. Our intention is not to attempt to fix anyone or their relationships. We encourage you to access any of the information made available to you on this page and to contact us as you feel the need; our desire is that it will serve as a reliable resource to help you find your way.

How to use this Page

Each of the various resources available can be accessed by clicking on the desired link below.

Minding Your Marriage is a brief message for reflection and discussion, which will include a different message being posted each Monday. The format of these reflections suggests a different activity to reinforce an understanding and application of the week's message. Each new message can be printed for future reference. A separate lined sheet can also be printed and used for journaling your thoughts.

Resources is a listing of books and other websites. The books cover a wide range of topics, including personal and spiritual growth, as well as the dynamics of a meaningful marriage. On this page you can also find a listing of other websites related to marriage counseling, life coaching, and personal/spiritual development.

Questions and Comments is an email link directly to Ron and Sandy Joyner, Deacons of the Meaningful Marriage Ministry at the Woodmont Hills Church. Any communications will be held in the strictest of confidence, but be reminded that no attempt will be made to provide any marriage counseling or other therapeutic services.
