About woodmont

Woodmont Hills is a group of Christians who seek to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love the World.

We are a grace-based church. Whether you have a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, are skeptical about religion, or somewhere in between, there is a place for you at Woodmont Hills. People come to us from various backgrounds and churches, bringing with them their own unique experiences and insights. We desire to receive everyone in a way that is biblical, God-honoring, and affirming of their desire to know Jesus more fully.

Woodmont Hills is simply a family of believers encouraging one another along the way. We do not believe we have arrived at a place of perfect understanding or complete maturity, but we are committed to being a family of believers who love and encourage one another to grow in Christ. We invite you to walk along with us and join the journey.

We know that life is not always easy and we never assume you have your life all together -- we certainly do not! We are not a perfect place but we strive to be authentic in our faith walk as we journey toward deeper commitment and transformation. We are not perfect, but we worship and serve a God who is perfect and has a plan to renew all things.

We come from the Church of Christ heritage. The Church of Christ began as a part of the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement, a movement dedicated to unity and determined to be simply Christian.

Where you come from says a lot about you, but it doesn’t say everything. While we share a commitment to the values of our tradition, we seek to express our faith in ways that embrace the challenges presented by our ever-changing culture. We are not afraid to look for truth. We have not “arrived” and we know that God wants to continue to teach us and transform us into the likeness of his Son.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to make apprentices of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). We will train to live the extraordinary life Jesus offers.

Our vision is to love God, love each other, and love the world (Mark 12:29-31).

These three relationships are the training ground for our mission. We learn Jesus’ life in the way we relate to God in personal and corporate worship, by experiencing community with each other in our families at home and our spiritual family here, and by joining God’s work of restoring and renewing the world around us.

Our vision statement is also our process for spiritual growth – the path we are taking for growing deeper in our relationship with God. We encourage everyone to...

  • Love God through our Sunday worship and a life of personal devotion in order to become fully mature followers of Jesus.
  • Love Each Other by sharing life together in our families at home and in some spiritual community small enough to really know each other.
  • Love the World by using their gifts to join God in his mission to bless the world, serving in our church family and in our community.
